Photos

I’ve been thinking about how to put photos online for a while. I’m not convinced a single brilliant solution exists. Hopefully I’ll post some more thoughts in a while, Facebook.com seems reasonably good has few adverts and no total upload limit but allows comments only from registered users, doesn’t allow download of full size photos, limits albums to 60 photos and navigating lots of photos is clumsy using their albums. I want something that allows me to specify a date for photos, and navigate via a kind of calendar interface. Flickr.com seems to allow this, but lacks the ability to tag people in photos, and it’s rather disjoint to put photos up there. Plus it costs, and I’ve no idea how much I’ll really use it.

Maybe I’ll bite the bullet soon. Oh, and I still need to get a camera with which to take photos... ho hum.
