Honk if you love peace and quiet

I should probably be updating this more reguarly, but anyway. Yesterday in the Guardian's G2 supplement there were a few extracts from Schite's Unoriginal Miscellany, a spoof of Schott's Origional Miscellany. Have a look here, my favourites include "Rock is dead - long live paper and scissors," "Honk if you love peace and quiet" and "I Find It Difficult to Believe That This Is Not Real Mashed Potato," an unlaunced brand of potato mash which Will has now adopted as his MSN name (must buy a copy of that book).

Not too much has happened over the past week, on Monday I went to the dentist who took out a couple of teeth. I had thought she was going to take out three, and it didn't hurt too much either. I got most of the day off college so managed to get round to spending some time on Matt's site, so that's about a third done now having sorted out all the problems with the code it's the hard bit that's done - I hope!

College is going reasonably well, I computing I've just written a "Salary" program, so it's time to kiss SAGE goodbye, as Jono neatly summed it up. Well, at least I haven't got stuck yet and the lessons aren't tedious as I had feared they could well be, which is a good. Physics has livened up a bit, one of the teachers is still covering kinematics and after having done both M1 and M2 it's reasonably easy so not too stimulating, but the Materials lesson today was quite a bit better. Economics is fine and Dad has given me a few extra books that he gives his students. Having two perspectives will hopefully make revision more interesting. Maths is going well too, in P4 we are doing the MacLaurin series which is really interesting, and M2 is good revision. A lot of the work is rearranged differently throughout the modules or taught in a slightly different manner so hopefully that coupled with some revision of the previous M2 work will give me a good chance in January.
